Academy Rules & Code of Conduct

 

These rules are in place to ensure a safe, respectful, and professional training environment for all members, students, and guests. By training at Elevation Jiu-Jitsu Academy LLC, you agree to comply with the following rules and policies.

1. Respect & Conduct

 

Treat instructors, staff, teammates, and guests with respect at all times.

 

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, No name calling or fighting or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.

 

Professor & coaches directions must be followed immediately!

2. Hygiene & Appearance

 

Clean gi and/or no-gi attire is required for every class.

 

Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed before training.

 

Maintain proper personal hygiene; shower regularly and use deodorant.

 

Do not train with open wounds, skin infections, or contagious illnesses.

3. Safety First

 

Tap early and tap often.

 

Release all submissions immediately when your partner taps verbally or physically.

 

No striking, slamming, or dangerous techniques unless specifically taught and supervised by an instructor.

 

Inform your instructor and training partner of any injuries or medical conditions prior to training.

4. Training Etiquette

 

Arrive on time. If late, wait for the Professor or coach before joining class.

 

Bow or acknowledge the mat when entering and exiting.

 

No coaching during class unless authorized by the Professor or coach.

 

Keep conversations to a minimum while instructions is being given.

5. Sparring (Rolling)

 

Train under control and prioritize your partner’s safety.

 

Match intensity appropriately and communicate if needed.

 

Beginners should request permission before rolling with higher belts.

 

Leave ego at the door—learning and improvement come first.

6. Uniform & Gear

 

Follow all academy-approved gi and no-gi uniform policies.

 

Flip-flops or sandals must be worn off the mat.

 

Jewelry, watches, and sharp accessories are not permitted on the mat.

7. Facility Cleanliness

 

Help keep mats and training areas clean.

 

Dispose of trash properly.

 

Return all loaner equipment promptly after use.

8.( Children & Parents)

 

Parents and Spectators:

 

Remain respectful and quiet during class.

 

Do not walk on the mats unless permitted.

 

No coaching from the sidelines or walking alongside the mats.

 

No arguing with coaches, staff, parents, or front desk personnel.

 

Any fighting or disruptive behavior will get you removed immediately from the facility.

 

Children:

 

Must follow the Professor or coach's rules and directions at all times and broken rules will get disciplinary Action as followed.

9. Membership & Policies

 

Team Members & Parents must follow all payment, attendance, and cancellation policies.

We are not responsible for any membership left standing without cancellation.

Payment on time, stay consistent,

give 30 days to cancel membership.

10. Disciplinary Action

 

Failure to comply with academy rules may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, physical discipline, or termination of membership. Disciplinary decisions are made at the discretion of Elevation Jiu-Jitsu Academy LLC based on the situation.
